Answers About the OTS/OCC Merger on July 21, 2011

On July 21, 2011, the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) became part of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).  The OCC now regulates both national banks and federal savings associations (thrifts).

Complaints opened with the OTS regarding federal savings associations (thrifts) prior to July 21, 2011 will continue to be processed following OTS procedures.  If you have received an OTS case number, you will not be able to use the case number in the Check Case Status page of this site.  You should contact the OCC Customer Assistance Group at 1-800-613-6743 and follow the prompts for assistance with the existing OTS case.  Visitors to the previous OTS Web site will be redirected to the appropriate OCC Web site for assistance.

For all complaints after July 21, 2011, please use the File a Bank Complaint page of this Web site.  You may also want to review the Frequently Asked Questions pertaining to banking products on the Home page of the Web site.  Use of the Online Customer Complaint Form is recommended, however, PDF versions of the form that can be printed and mailed or faxed to the OCC are also available.
